Many Affiliated Societies are former Branches of the Western Australian Genealogical Society. They became Societies in their own right as of 1st April 2000.

There are many centres in the Perth Metropolitan area where you can go to research specific information about people, places, buildings or newspapers for a particular suburb. These centres have a wide variety of data available covering many topics, and can be quite detailed. They are well worth a visit.
