Western Ancestor - Writing Competition
The Western Ancestor, journal of the Western Australian Genealogical Society, announced a writing competiton in the September edition of the journal.
This competition will commemorate ANZAC Day 2011.
The competition:
Write and submit a story about a family member who served overseas in the ANZAC forces during the First World War. Between 1500 - 2500 words, the article must include at least one photograph of the soldier [in uniform preferred] suitable for the front cover of the journal.
Conditions:
Must be your own work, typed, spell checked, and with all sources listed. Must be researched and historically accurate, engaging and interesting and include any copyright permission(s) and/or licence(s).
Entry is open to members and non-members, over the age of 18 years.

Entries close at midnight [AWST] Sunday 9th January 2011
Prize:
The winning story will be published in the March issue of Western Ancestor, with your soldier's photograph on the cover, and you will receive a WA Genealogical Society gift voucher to the value of $50.00.
