2010 FFHS - Best Website Award
Following on from our Highly Commended Award in 2009, WAGS website has won the Best Website Award for 2010 from the Federation of Family History Societies. The FFHS award gives recognition to Genealogy and Family History websites under a number of design criteria.
This is a terrific result for WAGS in our second year of entry.
WAGS website development has been coordinated by our webmaster, Chris Loudon, with assistance from; various WAGS members who have provided information and articles for the site; Special Interest Group's publishers, who update their own pages; Yvonne Lamble, who maintains the integrity of our Genealogy Links page; Mary Rogers, who is responsible for the Members' Interests, WA Surnames and Unwanted Certificates pages; and Ian Scott who provides ongoing support and a listening ear for the webmaster.
We also acknowledge the ongoing assistance we receive from our host provider Openwire.
The WAGS website is still evolving, and we will see further enhancements and changes into the future.
