WAGS New Management Committee
A very successful and enjoyable Annual General Meeting was held on Sunday 27th June. There was a very positive vibe during the AGM and afterwards at the wonderful afternoon tea. I would like to thank all those that provided the food and/or helped set up and clean up afterwards.
I am pleased to announce the new Management Committee that was elected at the AGM.
President - Liana Fitzpatrick
Vice President - Jeanette Robertson
Secretary - Pauline Pryer
Treasurer - Neil Bradley
Liaison Officer - Ray Smith
Property Officer - Lawrence Doran
Publications Officer - Lyn Watt
Committee Member - Ian Barnes
Committee Member - Ian Lister
Committee Member - Jennifer Lydon
Committee Member - Margaret Pike
We still have a couple of vacant positions: Vice President (1), Librarian and Projects Officer. If you would like any information on any of these roles please contact me.
At the meeting Edwina Shooter indicated she is willing to continue as acting Librarian for a short period of time. Edwina explained some aspects of her role and two members expressed interest in the Librarian's position and they will discuss the role with Edwina.
I would like to welcome the four new members to the committee: Jeanette, Pauline, Neil and Jennifer. It is great to see that we have a combination of new and experienced members on the committee. I look forward to working with this committee in the coming year as we continue to increase the profile of WAGS and to improve resources and benefits for all our members.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the retiring members from Committee: Karen Tregenza, Ian Scott and Brian Golding. Thank you for your great contribution to WAGS.
