Western Australian Genealogical Society Inc.

On January 16^th the WAGS website celebrated its first birthday and we have recorded over 120,000 visitors to the website.  Congratulations to Chris Loudon, our webmaster, for keeping the website up-to-date and continually adding new pages.  Also thank you to all the other members who regularly update their pages.

New Management Committee

A new Management Committee was elected at the Annual General Meeting on 28th June.  I would like to welcome two new members, Ian Lister and Brian Golding.  Ian has been a WAGS member for 2 years and Brian joined WAGS last year.  It is good to see that they are willing to be involved in WAGS decision making and it will be good to have their fresh input.

 Remembering our Mothers

I am writing this message on Mothers Day, 10th May 2009.  Mums are very special people.  This is a time to reflect, think of all the good times and be thankful for everything that our Mums have given to us.  To all Mums, we thank you for the gift of life, the love you have bestowed on us and the values you have instilled in us.
