Join WAGS
Membership of the Society is open to all who are interested in any aspect of Genealogy and Family History. Membership entitlements include: subscription to the Society's quarterly Journal the WESTERN ANCESTOR; full use of the Library, its Resources and the Society's Facilities; attendance at Special Interest GroupWAGS Services meetings; ; the various Education Courses; an excellent Bookshop; and many other WAGS activities.

Membership Benefits
- Convenient Library access WAGS library is open for 20.5 hours over five days per week, including Monday evening, each Saturday afternoon, and each second and fourth Sunday of each month in 2010
- Free access to our facilities. Our air-conditioned Library has a worldwide collection of more than 12,000 books, 1800+ CD's, 8,000+ microfiche sets, many micro films and other material. Books and bound periodicals are available to borrow

Undecided about joining
Non-Members are welcome to come along and have a look at the Library at any time. Have a chat to one of our friendly Library Volunteers who will happily show you what is available in the library
Day Visitors
If you would like to do some of your own research to see what is available, then a Day Visitor Fee of A$12.00 is applicable. Should you decide to join the society within one month of paying your Day Visitor Fee, the normal Joining Fee of A$12.00 will be waived on production of your Day Visitor receipt

If you would like to subscribe to the Western Ancestor, without becoming a WAGS member the costs are:-

On Joining
A membership card and general information kit, to help you begin your research, will be posted to you. This card is your key to the resources and services offered by WAGS. You are required to present the card when you visit, and to have the card showing at all times whilst you are in the WAGS Library. Card holders are available at the front desk or you may consider wearing your card on a lanyard.
Lost Membership Cards
You should immediately notify the Membership Officer to arrange a replacement card. You can do this by leaving a message at the library, by email or by post. A replacement card will be posted to you as soon as possible

Membership Queries
Membership Volunteers are usually available at the WAGS Library on Friday mornings between 9:30am and 11:00am, and are happy to answer any membership related queries.
At other times whilst the Library is open, a message may be left with the Library front desk, and a Membership representative will attend to the query on the following Friday
