Beginners Course - Beginning Your Family History
These are held regularly for new members commencing their genealogy or family history research.

For New Members
Orientation Day
New Members are invited to attend an Orientation Day.
This Session includes a tour of the Library facilities, and an introduction to the Library Catalogue and procedures.
Education Courses, Seminars and Workshops
Aimed at both beginners and the more experienced researchers, Seminars and Workshops are held throughout the year.
Courses cover various topics, such as:
Finding Australasian Ancestors on the Internet
Census Records
Writing your Family History
(Note - courses may change from year to year)

Registration for Education Courses
Course registration will not be accepted unless a completed Education Course Registration Form and payment is received
You will need to be registered on the Education Course Registration Form, which is available at our Library front desk, or by download below.
You may register by post, or in person at WAGS. Enquiries telephone (08) 9271 4311.
Course places are limited
Please book early. This needs to be at least seven days prior to the course date. Bookings are accepted in order of their arrival at WAGS, and as our courses are quickly filled you may miss out, consequently a late booking may not be accepted.
Likewise, courses may be cancelled if there are insufficient bookings.
Please note: The Course Registration Form is not to be used for Special Events conducted by other Committees or for Special Interest Groups events.
