New Index - Presbyterian Marriages

Certificate Transcriptions

This index is compiled from three booklets of transcriptions, originally compiled by Liz Rowe and Margaret Le May in the year 2000 and donated to WAGS Library. The transcriptions cover the period January 1898 to April 1910, and are taken from original marriage certificates which were found in St. Columba's Presbyterian Church, Keane Street, Peppermint Grove, Perth, Western Australia.

St. Columba's Church dates back to 1896. There are 151 entries in the index with 127 male and 127 female surnames.

Hard work by a group of people behind the scenes has resulted in the WAGS eNews becoming a reality. Our eNews editor (who shall remain nameless for now) has done a great job in getting the first edition out before Easter.

Yahoo eMail accounts hacked

Increased hacking of Yahoo eMail accounts

Unfortunately this problem is on the rise, and several WAGS members have recently had their Yahoo.com email account hacked. Be on the lookout for spam and malicious emails; anyone in a hacked email address book will be on the spam email hit list.

Worried? - you should be - have a look at these links: Password Security - How good is yours? and Yahoo account compromised
